Visit to the tower

Dorothy Clark Coe  revisits her childhood memory of Ditcheat Bell Tower

September 1994,

Dorothy Clark Coe  writes to me

"Thank you again for taking the time to show me around the church and take me up to the belfry. It is one of the highlights of my trip. When I returned to the U.S. my friends asked me if I had gone to the belfry, and were I glad that I had. I have talked about it often; it was one of the places I wanted to revisit and ,write about for my children and grandchildren, and of course, great grandchildren. (Am I really that old, ?)."

Dorothy's grandfather was  Edwin Clark  (a name that crops up on pages from this website). I am pleased to be able to share the piece she wrote  of her visit to Ditcheat where her father, Roy Clark,  grew up.   opens in pdf file
